I remembered everything I meant to say before we parted ways.

It was a hot afternoon, so the kids took a break to enjoy an icy snow cone.

Much to our surprise, we went to check on momma duck and this is what we found...

So, a quick look around the pond... and there she was, ducklings in tow.

I couldn't get close enough for a good picture or for a good count on how many babies she had with her - there had been 9 eggs...

Cosley Zoo

The kids and I visited the Cosley Zoo in Wheaton, IL this past week.

For my Ohio family/friends - I would put this "zoo" on the same playing field as the

Lake Erie Nature Center in Bay Village.

Still was plenty enough fun!

Logan's new favorite movie is Cars.
He has most of the lines memorized.

This was round 1 of singing "Happy Birthday" to Logan.

Our neighbor kids, Evan, Aidan and Arla...
along with their grandparents, Nana and Booboo...
came over to sing and have some birthday cupcakes and ice cream.
Logan completely ate up the attention!
