Blackberry Farm, Aurora, IL

On Labor Day weekend, we took the kids to Blackberry Farm right here in Aurora, IL.
{Blackberry Farm is a living history museum on 54 acres. It has 5 museums which contain a collection of late 19th century artifacts used in every facet of life. Period craft demonstrations bring the farm to life. Visitors can watch demonstrations of blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, sewing, pottery... as well as visit a one room schoolhouse, an 1840s Aurora home and farm cabin.}

Steven on a pony ride!

Logan has a turn riding a pony.

Logan loved riding on the pony!

Celeste also loved riding on the pony!

The trio waits for their turn on the carosel.

Chris and the kids on the train.

Steven and Celeste on the train.

Logan was totally stoked! He thought he was on the "dino train"!

No farm would be complete without at least a few animals!

Logan checks out the goats and lambs.

Looks like Steven's "mammy"

This little guy steps up for a little lovin' from the crowd.

Logan says hello to the chickens.

"cluck, cluck"

Logan takes a spin on a little pedal tractor!

Oops, some bad steering - Logan misses the entrance to the tunnel.

Steven on his tractor.

Inside one of the museums. It was set up to look like a late 19th century street.

Logan sees a few firetrucks in the toy store!

Celeste liked looking in the dress shoppe - don't know how comfy those dresses would be.

No line for pony rides, so the kids get a second ride in before heading home.

Heading out.
